IRxS was started by a husband and wife team with a combined 40+ years of HC experience including LTC and IDD. Mike & Kris Maenza are dedicated advocates for Seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities in our community. Mike & Kris are the proud parents of a child with special needs.
Late admission from hospitals to facilities is the norm, and it is the responsibility of nursing staff to get medication orders to the pharmacies so they can process the prescriptions and get them out for delivery to the end users. While pharmacies play a major role in the health and well-being of residents in LTC facilities, their operating models have not changed, developed, or adjusted to the rapidly changing environment that LTC facilities are faced with today.
Nurse staffing is at critically low levels; staff are too often being pulled in many directions while providing vital resident care and regulatory compliance.
The team at IRxS has firsthand experience with the operational challenges facing LTC pharmacies and their customers.
