What is the ColdTraq Cold Storage Monitor System?
What is ColdTraq, and how does it work? ColdTraq is a Remote Temperature Monitoring System that helps long-term care facilities maintain temperature-sensitive environments for medications, foods, or nourishments. This Innovative Rx product allows for efficient temperature monitoring, which saves facilities time and money.
ColdTraq aims to solve two objectives. The primary objective is to keep long-term care facilities compliant with the Department of Health Regulations regarding documentation of temperatures in freezers and refrigerators, whether food or medicine. This product benefits any cold storage environment while storing the data it gathers.
The second goal of ColdTraq is to benefit the facility directly by saving time, cutting down on costs, and minimizing waste. With ColdTraq, the refrigerators and freezers are now automatically being electronically monitored, eliminating the need for nurses to constantly update a physical log. The data is readily retrievable at any point as needed. In doing so, the product reduces human error while maintaining safety and efficacy for the food and medicine.
In addition, ColdTraq automatically notifies a team of
people at the facility if there’s been an issue with the cold storage, i.e.,
power outage, fridge failure, or internet loss.
If the temperature rises for any reason, the system will notify the
necessary people through text or email and include the reason for the outage.
The ColdTraq product was introduced by Mike Maenza, Owner
