When does FreshIQ 2100 lock automatically?
On a cooler, it locks when the temperature is 41°F or greater for 30 minutes; on a freezer, 0°F or greater for 30 minutes. It also locks if the temperature probe fails, and within 2 minutes of a primary power loss.
What happens during a power outage?
A rechargeable 9-volt backup battery keeps the unit monitoring. It locks 2 minutes after primary power is lost and can automatically unlock if power returns before a protection locking event occurs.
Won't restocking or defrost cycles trigger false lockouts?
No. Restock timers (30 minutes for coolers, 75 minutes for freezers) use intelligent logic to account for defrost and high-usage periods.
How do staff open the lock?
With enabled TriTeq P1, Standard, Economy or AutoTraq key fobs — no physical keys. Remote unlocking is available as an option, and there is a UL-compliant manual unlock capability.
How do I show a health inspector that it works?
Press the built-in test switch for 10 seconds to trigger a lock event on demand.
How long does installation take?
About 20 minutes to install and test on an industry-standard swing-door cooler or freezer.
